Position Overview

As a Sr. DevOps Engineer on our team, you’ll be working with everything from automation tools to to bare metal deployments. You should be familiar with the tools we use including Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and NodeJS. You will participate in architectural and design discussions, along with efforts to avoid and reduce toil, and provide a scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure for the success of our clients and organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support and strengthen the Aunsight platform from development all the way to production 

• Build and maintain tools for development, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and operations

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments 

• Lead other DevOps engineers in pursuit of technical, strategic, and organizational goals

• Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and solve complex problems

• Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or STEM

• An understanding of modern DevOps/SRE concepts including automation, configuration management, immutability, observability, and site reliability

• An understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery

• An ability to design reliable and performant technical architecture using a wide array of open source technologies

• Well-rounded DevOps capabilities including:

-Hands-on experience with containers (K8s/Docker)
-Configuration Management (Ansible or similar)
-Linux (CLI and System Administration)
-CI/CD
-Log management (Graylog or similar)
-NodeJS

• Knowledge of security principles

• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems

• Excellent writer and communicator. You are excellent at diagramming architecture, documenting recommendations, and communicating them to coworkers and stakeholders.

• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment 

• Strong grasp of automation and software development tools 

• Experience reading and writing code
