SUMMARY:
The clinical manager provides supervision and monitoring of daily activities of assigned staff as well as provides oversight of the provision of all clinical services throughout the program.
Based on programmatic needs, the clinical supervisor may also be expected to provide direct service to clients on a personal caseload. The clinical supervisor is responsible for planning and implementing management directives, division policies and procedures, and ensuring fidelity and compliance with agency contracts and stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide clinical and administrative supervision and leadership to assigned clinicians.
• Assist in the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Assist in providing clinical and administrative supervision when directed by VP of Clinical Director.
• Manage and oversee clinical service delivery for the health division.
• Ensures that all staff maintain an appropriate level of clinical skills to provide services to changing client populations as well as maintaining the appropriate licensure to do so.
• Assist in the monitoring and oversight of clinical documentation and compliance as well as other established protocol and regulations from accrediting bodies.
• Oversee timely completion and submission of clinical reports, mental health assessments, screenings, treatment plans, and all other relevant clinical documentation.
• Manage and maintain client demographics, outcomes, and census data.
• Participate as an active member of the behavioral health management team.
• Notify leadership of all potential high risk situations in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate dedication to agency goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and facilitate clinical and care coordination staffing’s.
• Complete monthly chart audits and compliance checks.
• Maintain a modest direct service caseload based on programmatic needs or as directed by Vp of Clinical Services
• Demonstrate and model strong clinical aptitude and sound clinical judgment.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of age-appropriate care.
• Write and verbally communicates in clear, concise, and professional manner. Utilizes effective listening skills and communicates with supervisees and stakeholders on a consistent basis.
• Demonstrate a high quality of work through accuracy and thoroughness, applying feedback to improve performance, looking for ways to improve and promote quality, and monitoring own work to ensure quality.
• Provide therapy and counseling and supervision based on established psychotheory and/or evidenced-based practices.
• Meets with supervisor for administrative and clinical supervision as scheduled.
• Actively seeks way to improve systems and services as well as participate in performance improvement activities.
• Complete all Core Curriculum training(s) as required for this position.
• Engage in continuing education trainings for professional growth and development.
• Provide supervision for Aunt Martha’s Interns (when applicable).
• Support and assist in training and support of other clinical staff under the direction of Clinical Director.
• Ensure that therapists encounters are closed at the end of each business day.
• Ensure that patients are scheduled to establish and maintain a weekly productivity ratio of 1 – 1.5 patients per hour.
• Review weekly productivity reports to determine performance gaps, and make modifications, as needed.
• Provide the VP Clinical Services and the Sr. VP of Health Operations written and verbal reports on identified performance gaps monthly.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or other related field.
• Clinical license for independent practice in the state of Illinois (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.) or eligibility for clinical licensure with contingency of obtaining license within six months of employment.
• At least five years of clinical direct service experience.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations with a comprehensive understanding of culture that includes: race and ethnicity, religion, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc.

• Current auto insurance

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

• AMHW employee shall obtain and maintain certification in First Aid, TCI, and CPR. Certifications must be obtained within 3 months of employment
