Job Summary
The Medical Billing Specialist will work with finance, billing, scheduling and clinical leadership in the context of organic billable growth and efficiency. Main functions include client relations, insurance provider coordination, and medical billing coding
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Payments, refunds, statements and payment plans
- Communicate and collect patient financial responsibilities
- Monthly Invoices and discrepancy troubleshooting
- Oversee No Show/Late Fees
- Quality assurance of medical documentation
- Audits CentralReach in both insurance and client billing to ensure accuracy
- Manages and audits Billing contracted company to ensure claims are released properly
- Oversee fulfillment and request documentation from BCBA Supervisors for authorizations, progress reports, intakes and required services data
- Credentialing BCBAs with insurance companies and processing insurance applications
- Process claims and appeals and address denials/rejections in a timely manner
- Provide billing reports for clinical supervisors and direct care workers
- Facilitate internal and external audits responding timely to requests from insurance carriers, agencies, municipalities, Medicaid, financial auditors and other
- Receives and submits any physical payments such as check and credit card processing, ensures they are posted by contracted company
- Reviews payroll on a biweekly basis
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in healthcare administration
- Familiarity with billing and insurance providers

Salary Commensurate with Experience

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
