Automotive Dealership Controller

Raleigh, NC

The Controller will manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the store to ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with dealership accounting processes and policies. The position interacts daily with accounting associates, Sales Associates, Service Managers, support staff, owner/dealer principle and customers. The controller is the business partner to the dealership General Manager.

System – CDK preferred however we are open to other types of automotive dealership system experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Preparation
• Oversight of the General Ledger
• Close the books accurately each month
• Supervise accounting staff
• Supervise the bank reconciliation process, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc.
• Calculating manager and various department commissions
• Schedule review
• Respond to requests for information and assistance in a timely manner
• Prepare and submit required statements and reports

Skills:

• Exceptional multi-tasking and organization skills
• Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on quality
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to think critically
• Strong understanding of Excel and Outlook

Requirements:

• 3 years dealership experience in multiple areas of the accounting office
• Working knowledge of dealership financial statements
• Available to work evenings at month-end close
• Professional demeanor
• Possess a high level of dependability, maturity, confidentiality, and courtesy
• Ability to work as a team in a consolidated accounting office

Pay: $75,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
