Aviva Health Hiring for Logistics Assistant – 1054009 Job at Roseburg, OR Full Time

POSITION PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor this position is responsible for assisting with courier and inventory duties. The assistant will be a backup courier for all facilities. The Courier is responsible for providing a timely and accurate routine to transport supply deliveries and/or emergency medication to all Aviva facilities. Duties will also include helping the inventory coordinator as needed and to run supplies as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Count and track supplies, materials, equipment parts, and current supplies in stock.
• Report discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
• Develop and improve inventory management procedures.
• Stock and distribute supplies and equipment.
• Support with equipment repair and vendor coordination.
• Assist with inventory and utilization reports.
• Assist with procurement of supplies.
• Assist with department moves and ensure all departments have proper equipment/furniture.

• Back up Courier as needed to deliver to Aviva Health facilities on a routine and/or emergency basis.
• Back up Courier as needed to deliver office supplies, janitorial supplies, medical records, and clinic information on a daily or as needed basis.
• Back up Courier as needed to deliver bank deposits to local bank for Aviva Health daily.
• Back up Courier as needed for taking money from front desk and making change at the bank for all facilities when needed.
• Back up Courier as needed for proper delivery of closed batch from front desk to Billing daily.

• Back up Courier as needed to maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness both inside and out.
• Back up Courier as needed for pick up necessary supplies from vendors and wholesalers.
• Back up Courier as needed to deliver supplies in appropriate containers in a timely manner.
• Back up Courier as needed to maintain confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to assure patient rights are protected.

• Back up Courier as needed to help officials, staff, visitors and other employees as necessary.

• Back up Courier as needed for building coverage by working evenings and weekends as required for maintenance that cannot be performed during regular business hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities supervisor

UALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associates degree in Purchasing/Inventory or 4 years equivalent work experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions.
• Ability to operate inventory/purchasing software.
• Detail orientated.
• Current and valid Oregon Driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting: 10%; Standing 10%; Walking 30%; Kneeling 10%; Twisting 5%; Reaching 5%; Lifting/Carrying 25% and must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; Climbing ladders 5%.
