Hiring an HR Generalist for our Metal Plating facility. A good position for someone that is trying to get into the HR field, like a recent graduate. Ideal candidate would have some exposure to HR department duties – such as: recruiting, weekly payroll, good time management, ability to enforce policies, employee relations, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Initially the prime focus would be on recruiting. Would work as part of a team with our Senior HR Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for establishing adequate employee levels,
Responsible for hiring cycle: post job, review applications, determine who to interview, interview, hire, onboarding & orientation.
Prepare, process and distribute payroll – weekly
Possess knowledge of benefits to explain to employees
Verify reviews are completed on time by working with their Supervisors/Managers
Verify training is completed on time by working with their Supervisors/Managers
First level employee relations – answer questions, assist when needed, and forward to Senior Human Resources Manager on bigger issues
Ensure quarterly drug testing is complete
Plan events – luncheons, parties.
Manage attendance – policy enforcement
Complete verification of employment requests
Process child support paperwork
Process terminations
Handle unemployment claims
. Ability to follow directions
Any issues that come up that are outside of these duties will be forwarded to the Senior Human Resources Manager
Assist Senior Human Resources Manager as needed
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Required Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
Visibility requires maintaining a professional ppearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Excellent communication, organizational and negotiation skills
Decisive, self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong leadership skills are able to motivate people
Effective writing skills, as well as the ability to use a computer
Professional team player with superior communication skills.
Good mathematical aptitude.
Strong customer service focus.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Ability to lift and move 1-50 lbs. as needed.
Ability to work independently with little or no suupervision.
