Backyard Comfort and Pest Control Hiring for Pest Control Technician at College Station, TX Full Time

Since 2007 we have been providing pest/termite/wildlife control, outdoor cooling and outdoor heating to our customers. Our techs serve in a key front-line role and are the very heart of what we do. We need one employee who wants a long-term career working in an exciting and profitable field of work. Outstanding service and excellent communication skills are paramount. You will be performing these services:

• regular pest, termite, and wildlife control services
• servicing insect and cooling mist systems
• installing insect mist, outdoor cooling, and outdoor heating systems
• setup of rented outdoor cooling systems

Responsibilities:

• Must maintain all requirements by Texas Department of Agriculture licensing authority.
• Verify property address & location before service treatment is begun.
• Drive safely from one location to another while performing service or installations at each location.
• Apply rodenticides and insecticides in solid, liquid, powder, and gas form on or near surfaces of a building, house or yard to eliminate pests.
• Complete all work orders and invoicing on each job.
• Removal of debris in gutters or tree limbs on and around structures.
• Removal of insect nests, spider webs and other debris on eaves, ceilings and walls.
• Installation of outdoor insect mist, cooling and heating systems on existing structures or at a new construction site.
• Ability to prioritize workload, work under pressure and still maintain good composure.
• Provide thorough and complete customer service for each customer.
• Use extreme caution while crawling in confined spaces (attics and crawl spaces), while on ladders and scaffolding at varying heights.
• Identify the target pest to achieve maximum results.
• Make suggestions to customer for prevention control.
• Identify and report any damages to customer’s property.
• Use personal protective equipment as is required for prevention purposes.
• Meet deadlines of route and inform staff of need for retreats and/or skipped services or incomplete work.
• Working outside in the heat and in the cold.
• Attend company meetings or CEU training as required.
• Perform door-to-door sales visits to potential customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and good driving record (required)
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship (required)
• Clean criminal background review (required)
• Possess a current structural pest control technician license from the Texas Department of Agriculture (preferred). 
• Previous pest control experience (preferred).
• Previous insect mist system, outdoor cooling system or outdoor heating system installation experience (preferred).
• Desired experience working with service routes (preferred.

• Successful completion of 60-day employee trial period.
• 35 – 45 hours a week of work (full-time)
