Project Accountant Description:
The Project Accountant is essential to the financial management and health of assigned projects. Tasks include monitoring project performance, reviewing contracts, creating project accounts, monitoring work-in process, ensuring appropriate and timely billing, transferring project costs, and upholding accounting standards. The Project Accountant is responsible for the adherence to billing and accounting timelines, accurate and timely production of draft invoices, producing and distributing final invoices, and client specific requirements.
The Project Accountant works closely with project managers, principals, clients, and business partners. Concise and thorough communication is important when assisting with billing questions, preparing invoices, or compiling information for internal and external audiences. This position involves a strong collaboration with the Senior Accountant and Project Managers to review WIP, A/R, and assist in collection efforts.
A successful Project Accountant will be highly organized, detail-oriented, passionate about proactively managing projects, and excited to build on our existing processes and deliverables.
