Barilla is seeking to hire a Trade Marketing and Sales Professional for our Northbrook office reporting to the Business Development Manager – Amazon.
Job Purpose: The e-Commerce Analyst tracks & understands sales performance and marketplace trends to inform Sales and Marketing decision making teams. Supports customer development for Amazon and other eCommerce customers. Key areas of focus include but are not limited to: product setup and maintenance on digital platforms, monitoring customer shipments, and reporting consumption activity by reviewing internal and competitive insights, preparing analysis and reporting in order to identify opportunities and support company growth goals.
Key Accountabilities
1. Set up and maintain products and content on e-tailer digital platforms. Address and resolve issues when necessary.
2. Conduct analysis and prepare e-Commerce reporting:
a. Monitor and project shipments and consumption of Barilla products.
b. Analyze, report, and provide data insights on Category, Brand and SKU-level data for recurring weekly and monthly reports.
c. Manage, track and report promotional performance and ROI.
d. Assist with regular reporting and presentations to Global E-Commerce Team.
e. Identify and develop process efficiencies and automation to create standardized, efficient, and repeatable processes.
f. Implement and maintain accurate data and analysis. Authority to correct data and reports to preserve and protect data integrity. Accountability of maintenance to provide accurate reporting that will drive business decisions.
3. Assist with developing analysis reports and presentations.
4. Assist with annual sales planning and forecasting process by sharing knowledge of the category, customers, and trends.
5. Monitor online competitive activity in the marketplace and identify opportunities and threats to our business.
6. Assist Business Development Manager with reviewing and processing retailer invoices and deductions.
7. Ability to prioritize projects, manage time efficiently, and accomplish multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Key Challenges:
The role requires working with multiple data sources and Barilla platforms, interpreting data, creating reports, communicating business insights, and resolving sales administrative needs. The position holder is directly responsible for managing relationships with colleagues and data providers, improving and regulating (efficiencies/ CI) the reporting process, ensuring accurate data, and conveying reports to team members to help make effective decisions to improve sales and profitability.
