Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-3-5 years Human Resource experience required
·Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
·Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals
·Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors; advises management of appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
·Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements. Maintains and updates Employee Handbook with current and relevant policies and procedures
·Administers performance review program to ensure communication, effectiveness, compliance, and feedback within organization
·Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits and open enrollment; recommends benefit programs to managements; obtains and evaluates benefit contract bids; works directly with benefits broker.
·Responsible for unemployment claims, unemployment hearings, and workers compensation claims
·Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records
·Maintain and update job descriptions
·Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
·Acts as backup to recruiter and able to perform all functions of recruiter in case of absence
·Other duties may be assigned
