Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join Supply Chain Plastic Additives team, supporting the production planning process at the Mcintosh site.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining the detailed production plan for the production plants on the site, as well as the volumes of raw materials, intermediates, and final products.

You will create, validate, and maintain the master schedule for the Plastic Additives business portfolio, ensuring imported and domestic raw materials to meet the business and customer needs for the short and mid-term planning horizons.

On daily bases, you will monitor adherence to the production plan with operations and site logistics, identify gaps in the deliveries and production volumes and align within production, regional planning, and product management.

Qualifications – BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

As a Production Planner you create chemistry by…

• Defining detailed production plan in APO PPDS for the production plants on-site, for raw materials, PBG, intermediates, and final product. As well as for EVP as for other BU´s for which EVP produces and Raw material FC is generated out of this production plan.
• Monitoring adherence to production plan with operations and site logistics
• Communicating extra closely with different functions in case of bigger impacts in production, e.g. shutdowns, DCS migrations, production trials, new production or packaging lines
• Coordinating packed goods availability and planning with materials managers as well as coordinate logistic topics with production logistics and 3rd party providers for outsourced logistics
• Aligning long term production plan with regional planners in SiteOps; identifying and escalating conflicts in production plan if needed
• Creating purchase requisitions for raw materials and packaging and create intercompany orders, as well as performing Master data updates (also for packaging regulations)
• Monitoring raw material availability with shared service center in Berlin and with transport management; escalate with EV/T
• Monitoring and managing of inventories (raw materials, packaging, merchandize, catalyst, dysfunctional stock) related to the site
• Acting as “troubleshooter” for problems with raw materials, packaging material, quality results of finish goods, for products assigned to the fine planner
• Handling RACE requests for raw materials and create SAP Analyses in the context of fineplanning
• Contacting person for and interface to Warehouse logistics providers and, including responsibility for SAP WM topics and processes

Your formula for success…

• Having an Associate’s degree or higher.
• Having knowledge of production processes and planning processes
• Being an expert on SAP APO PPDS
• Advanced knowledge of SAP WM
• Knowledge of SAP APO (other than PPDS), P2P, OTC and Microsoft Office
• Having communication skills and team work
• Having analytical and problem solving abilities
