The Hugh L. Carey Battery Park City Authority is a New York State public benefit corporation whose mission is to plan, create, coordinate, and sustain a balanced community of commercial, residential, retail, and park space within its designated 92-acre site on the lower west side of Manhattan. There is a recognition that, as development of new parcels is completed, the importance of maintenance within the mission will become more significant.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Part-Time Accounts Payable/Timekeeper will be working with the Finance department and gain insight in Timekeeping/Accounts Payable role within Battery Park City Authority.
Essential Duties:
Review all open contracts against accounting system and inform assigned Accounts Payables Account in charge of discrepancies, if any.
Update and maintain electronic Finance database for the duration of tenure.
Provide support as a subject matter expert to the agency regarding any functional areas within the eTIME system via ADP Workforce Now.
Create, collect, analyze and distribute Timekeeping reports based on daily, weekly, or monthly data using ADP reporting tools.
Other work will include:
Creating and running reports. Scanning/Filing/Extracting documents
Meeting with staff members involved in the Timekeeping and Accounts Payable approval process
Audit all electronic timesheets in ADP eTIME to ensure accuracy, notify appropriate Managers for corrections, and deliver finished product to the group
Process and audit primary labor account changes
Assist other company functions with the use of eTIME to maximize usefulness
Assist Payroll and Accounts Payables group as needed
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Reliable and punctual
Strong interest in learning on the job; work well both independently and with others
Possesses strong technical and analytical skills – proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
Previous experience using eTIME for a large employee population is preferred
Handles multiple and concurrent tasks in a fast paced environment with little supervision
Relates well with people in all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
Advanced knowledge and experience with ADP eTIME
Strong ability to handle multiple time-sensitive, confidential priorities
