BFC is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated HR intern. As an HR Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and contribute to the overall success of our HR department.
The HR intern’s duties include maintaining employee records, data entry, filing HR documents, screening resumes, initiating background checks, and giving recommendations to improve HR policies. You should also be able to work independently, work on MS office, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Screen resumes and application forms to identify prospective employees to fill company job vacancies.
• Schedule interviews with potential shortlisted candidates.
• Post job advertisements on job boards and social media platforms.
• Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing paperwork and assisting with orientation sessions.
• Assist in organizing company events.
• Assist with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement activities and performance management processes.
• Preforms other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities
• Basic understanding of labor laws.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Dependable, flexible and ability to maintain confidential information
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in HRM or studying toward a degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Minimum one-year experience of working in an office environment.
• Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds at times.
