Position Summary: Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other financial activities within the organization.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred. Equivalent years of experience in a similar role required if no degree.
Required Work Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience.
Essential Duties:
1. Create, maintain, and analyze budgets. Prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
2. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
3. Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
4. Prepare and post monthly recurring journal entries including, but not limited to, prepaid expenses, accrued
sick/vacation, due to/due from, inventory, cash transfers, and depreciation.
5. Prepare adjusting journal entries.
6. Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
7. Reconcile monthly bank reconciliations.
8. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
9. Inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and location of property.
10. Process bi-weekly payroll; manage all employee deductions, import 401K and print manual checks for interim fixes.
11. Review accounts payable invoice batch, accounts receivable ACH batch and auto debit batch for accuracy.
12. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to
business and financial problems.
13. Other duties as assigned.
