Key Job Functions
Coordinates and administers a variety of human resource department projects and tasks in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, training, safety and employee services.
Assists in the administration and enforcement of Company policies and procedures.
Develops and implements department and Company programs to enhance employee relations.

Qualifications of Candidate
The candidate should have a 4-year degree from an accredited university; PHR certification preferred.
Must have 2+ years of HR related experience, experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience in recruiting all levels of the company.
Experience with processing payroll timely and accurately.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to successfully collaborate with diverse individuals at various levels both within the company and outside suppliers.
Able to think critically and resolve problems.
Able to work independently and as a team member, without close supervision.
Be approachable and able to effectively assist employees with their questions in a timely manner.
Possess intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Suite products and HRIS systems with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Job Description
Enters, maintains, and audits HR data in the Company’s HRIS system and ensures the integrity of the data; keeps data private and secure.
Ensures compliance of Company policies and procedures and the employee handbook; staying current with changes in the law and regulations and responding accordingly to those that would affect the organization.
Plans and conducts recruitment processes including but not limited to the placement of internal and external job postings, screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, issuing Predictive Index (PI) assessments, attending job fairs and GAP events, working with staffing agencies, drafting offer letters, completing background and references checks and drug screens, and maintaining the employee referral program.
Coordinates and conducts new employee orientation including but not limited to developing training agendas, entering new hires into the HRIS and completing E-Verify requirements in a timely manner.
Maintains I-9s binder for site and responds to inquiries by E-Verify when needed.
Coordinates employee Benefits Administration for new hires, open enrollment, and any employee life status changes throughout the year.
Manages site Training Requirements, runs monthly Training Reports, coordinates group training needs, conducts various types of HR and Safety training and assists in the development of site training manuals and materials.
Updates weekly Fire Lists for all three facilities and maintains the annual Visitor Logs and NDAs for guests.
Assists in the management of employee time off policies, procedures, and programs; ensures requests and usage are within eligible requirements and available time off limits and documented appropriately for payroll purposes.
Maintains employee attendance and disciplinary records and keeps supervisors/managers abreast of any employee who may be approaching a disciplinary action.
Works closely with department supervisors/managers to finalize weekly timesheets in HRIS for payroll processing and serves as a backup for processing payroll.
Partners with Production Supervisors/Managers to keep production job descriptions up to date.
Provides various operating reports to management weekly or upon request to support site operations.
Develops and implements Company programs and activities to engage employees and maintain a positive employee morale.
Coordinates site events such as employee monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations, holiday charitable giving programs, employee turkey/ham giveaways, flu shots, Cardiocheks, chair massages, etc.
Manages catering events for site meetings and makes travel arrangements as needed.
Manages various office functions such as office supplies, locks/lockers, safety glasses, company announcements and postings, etc.
Serves as ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
Is an active member of the Company’s EH&S Committee, records detailed meeting minutes and follows through on any HR action items. Serves as point of contact for annual voluntary OSHA Safety Compliance Audits.
Assists Supervisors and Sr HR Manager in completing and recording any site work-related near miss and/or injury/illness per OSHA requirements. Works closely with Worker’s Compensation carrier to ensure employees are following up on their scheduled appointments and managing their care to eventually close any open claims.
Processes daily incoming mail and USPS shipments for HR.
Maintains digital personnel files for all active, temp and terminated employees. Assists in updating, processing, auditing and maintaining all HR and/or company records, documents, and files.
Other duties as assigned by the Sr HR Manager or CFO.
Job Expectations
The Employee is expected to dedicate the time necessary to accomplish the given job requirements.
On average, employment will require 40-45 hours per week; with occasional time spent on 2nd and 3rd shift.
