Bethany Hospice and Palliative Care LLC Hiring for HR Coordinator at Valdosta, GA Full Time

We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to work out of our corporate office in Valdosta, GA . A HR Coordinator is a professional who completes administrative duties for the human resources department. Assist with maintaining employee records, payroll processing and provide administrative support to all employees. Coordinate and manage all human resource administration according to state and federal regulations and Bethany policy and procedures. Assist the VP and Clinical Directors with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests. Also responsible for receptionist duties and general office support. Travel as necessary.

Mileage is reimbursed at $0.45 per mile and starting pay rate is based on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years medical office Human Resource experience.
• Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Exposure to payroll practices.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Valid driver’s license and an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements and is in good working order.
• Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.
• Physical exam in accordance with state law requirements.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, including FMLA.
• Reconcile benefit statements.
• Provide benefit orientation and enrollments.
• Act as a liaison between employee and insurance providers.
• Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees’ records.
• Participates in the hiring process to ensure that talent acquisition is timely. This includes recruitment, interviewing and recommendation of talent to the leadership team.
• Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations.
• Track and maintain employee expiring documents and update/submit employee personal information as required by state and federal laws.
• Perform biweekly payroll.
• Coordinate and maintain employee benefits as described by Bethany Hospice.
• Maintain compliance with employee training documentation.
• Assist CQI manager with Continuing Quality Improvement Program.
• Answer phones for during lunch hour and breaks or during absence.
• Participate in staff meetings, team meetings, briefings, in-services, committees, and other related activities as needed.
• Assure for compliance with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established company policies and procedures. Participate in the general agency quality improvement.
• Maintains knowledge of HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Regular attendance is to be maintained.
• Adherence to a code of conduct conducive with Bethany Hospice policy is expected.
• Meet or exceed delivery of Company Service Standards in a consistent fashion.
• Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the Company’s mission.
• Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.
