Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut is looking for a BBB spokesperson responsible for planning, development and implementation of the organizations TV, radio, and newsprint activities. Also, the successful candidate will be available for media interviews at various times during the day, week, and weekend, with some flexibility. This position will fulfill a variety of PR functions including:

• Responsibility for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive communications/public relations program that will enhance the BBB’s image and position in the community.
• Production and release of news stories.
• On air news media appearances – TV & radio.
• Building/fostering relationships with local media to secure interviews on BBB News Releases/topics.
• Write BBB blog posts as needed.
• Work with staff to promote and execute events and community outreach efforts.
• Research and write articles for the BBB monthly newsletter
• Maintain media contact list and be the BBB’s official representative with TV, Radio, and Newsprint.
• Working knowledge of photography and accept the responsibility for taking photos at BBB events as needed.
• Present informational speeches/seminars on topics requested by BBB.
• Social Media posts, lives, support – as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
