Staff Accountant
Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid model – 2-3 days onsite in a week)
6 Months Contract to Hire
Requirements:
- Excel, ADP Workforce Now, Accounting Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Experience: 3-5 years working as an Accountant with a focus in AR, AP, Payroll and Benefits Management.
Languages – Spanish is a strong preference given our rapid growth in the LATAM region.
Job Description:
Looking to hire a staff accountant to support the finance and accounting functions of their organic business in America’s (US, Canada & LATAM) and assist with integration of their newly acquired subsidiaries. The staff accountant will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager and finance team in the US and India. Key responsibilities to include –
- Accounts Payable – Assist with updating vendor database, printing checks and mailing documents.
- Accounts Receivable – Assist with client invoicing, collections, and adjustment of client payments against invoices.
- Payroll – Supports the finance manager with benefit invoice reconciliations, 401k plan fundings, PTO adjustments, processing manual checks, payroll reconciliations, processing employee advances and other related tasks.
- Banking & Treasury – Supports the finance team offshore with bank reconciliations and backing up the Accounting Assistant in area’s of AP & Banking.
- Compliance – Help with compliance filings for payroll taxes, corporate tax payments, responding to legal notices and coordinating with the HR & Legal teams for collating contracts.
- Reporting – Helps prepare monthly reports relating to payroll, AP, and AR schedules.
- Office Operations – Support and collaborate with the office operations team in US & LATAM as needed.
- M&A Integrations – Assists the Finance Manager with integration activities and other projects relating to the newly acquired subsidiaries of client and accounting of transactions as needed.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
