Black Box Network Services Hiring for Site Lead – Data Center Job at New Albany, OH Full Time

The Site Lead – Data Center will manage and oversee field operations and personnel and must be able to think strategically and demonstrate strong leadership.

The SL will assume total ownership from the receipt of completed engineering work package to delivery of project completion, and final documentation and must exhibit the ability to provide excellent customer service and deliver projects according to customer expectations.

Job Location: New Albany, OH.

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to scheduled milestones and due dates.
• Supervise and manage structured cabling activities.
• Partner with project scheduler to maintain accurate budgeted resources and schedules.
• Assume responsibility for proper care and maintenance of all assigned assets.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean and properly maintained at all times.
• Attend all related project meetings.
• Complete and submit all administrative reports/requirements.
• Weekly Field Status Reports
• Project Time Trackers
• End of Month Items
• Project on site inventory
• Vehicle Logs (if assigned a vision vehicle)
• Interface/communicate with internal and external customers.
• Perform weekly site inspections
• In-progress Scope communication
• Perform daily huddles with crew to establish and discuss goals for the day.
• Perform daily site walk inspections for QA/QC and crew performance.
• Coordinate and schedule technical training on job phases (terminations and testing).
• Perform OJT when required and teach and mentor assigned team.
• Direct Field Supervisors/Lead Technicians on planning material acquisition and scheduling for assigned projects.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or similar preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the telecommunications/structured cabling/construction field
• Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory/leadership experience.

Other Qualifications, Skills & Certifications:

• Manufacturer certifications preferred (e.g. Commscope, Panduit, Corning).
• BICSI Certified Tech preferred.
• OHSA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.

Competencies:

• Ability to read construction drawings.
