Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information in a mature and professional manner.
Exercises sound judgment, while balancing acting with a sense of urgency and need for attention to detail.
Adept at multi-tasking, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Strong computer literacy and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of software are required.
Broad knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the employment relationship is required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field, combined with a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience are required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be given consideration.
A valid driver’s license with current proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation and ability to travel approximately 25% to C-Store/Branch locations, the Bear Lake BCOC offices, and any other locations as needed. Occasional overnight travel may be required

Your Role As our new Human Resource Business Partner you’ll be responsible for the following:
Manage day-to-day employee relations function by supporting changes, applying policies and procedures across the Company.
Serve as a proactive HR partner while understanding respective areas’ business goals and objectives.
Recognize potential employee experience/relations issues in a proactive manner and resolve/escalate the concern to the appropriate area.
Conducts internal investigations and evaluates and resolves cases regarding work-related problems that adversely impact morale and productivity. This may include traveling to the work site.
Provides guidance and recommendations for problem resolution to managers and employees.
Advises and counsels managers and supervisors regarding job performance and behavioral issues concerning their team members. Recommends appropriate courses of action.
Recommends changes to existing employment policies and procedures.
Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation and participate in unemployment hearings.
Assists with required annual federal reporting requirements
Provides feedback to management regarding trends revealed in exit interviews.
Creates and presents training material to address organizational needs.
Drive to company locations across the state as needed.
