We are looking for an experienced accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. accounting responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, processing payroll, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities

• Apply payments entering invoices in Netsuite Online.
• Post credit card batches on a daily basis.
• Match and/or categorize bank and credit card activity in Netsuite.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
• Process timecards bi-weekly.
• Process bi-weekly payroll.
• Process and monthly sales tax. Set up new state sales tax accounts as needed.
• Report and pay NC State payroll withholding.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Produce monthly P & L for management.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• Proficient in Netsuite Online
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• BS degree in Accounting or relevant experience
• Compensation DOE’
