BNL Consulting is actively seeking a Java/Spring Developer with significant experience developing enterprise-level systems using the Spring framework as well as testing similar Java/Spring systems.
This position will be remote, but the contractor must be located in the domestic USA. This is a six-month full-time, corp-to-corp, contract position. There is an optional six-month renewal that may be available after this contract.
This position requires working with the SAS (https://sas.com) platform. So, experience developing Java integrations with SAS will be helpful, but it is not required.
This role will be focused primarily on testing, but being comfortable with and being experienced with Spring development is also critical.
Must haves:
- Four+ years of relevant experience developing with Java and Spring
- 2+ years of testing Spring code and systems
- Strong java programming skills with experience working at scale
- Experience working with the Spring Framework
- Experience with open source library security and cybersecurity
- Strong Unix/Linux experience
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Groovy and ksh shell scripting

- Strong communication skills
The nice to haves:
- Java/Spring Certifications
- Familiarity with the SAS platform
- Experience working in multiple OS environments including a variety of Windows and Unix based systems
- Familiarity with Web Services Architecture and Web App testing
- Experience using API testing tools like Postman (or similar)
- Experience working in a distributed team environment
