The Head of Benefits will ensure BNP Paribas has a holistic benefit program for our most important asset – our employees. We are currently reviewing our benefit offerings and want to make the necessary investments to ensure our benefit program is best in class – this role will drive those conversations.

Responsibilities:

Lead US CIB healthcare strategy in wake of the evolving marketplace accelerated growing demands of employee base:

• Administration of the health and welfare plans – health, life, dental, disability, wellness and paid time- working closely with internal partners and external vendors
• Evaluates and compares existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Analyzes results of surveys, employee requirements and develops specific recommendations for review by management.
• Partners with external vendors and consultants relationships, working with ERISA counsel and internal consultants on plan compliance, regulatory changes, individual and global benefits issues
• Leads a group of internal partners and external vendors to assist in development and delivery of participant education including written materials, webinars and classroom style training related to health & welfare and wellness programs
• Leads and participates in multiple assigned projects related to health & welfare and wellness programs, including open enrollment, vendor implementations, wellness events and system upgrades
• Prepares, reviews and delivers analytical and financial reporting, cost analysis, benefits reconciliation and statistical reports
• Interfaces with internal Human Resources, HR Communications, Compensation, HRIS and Finance departments
• Sets the health and welfare department calendar assuring proactive rather than reactive compliance with all deadlines for open enrollment, health care reform and other health & welfare regulations
• Leads our response to both internal and external audits and regulatory reporting compliance, including group insurance 5500, Summary Annual Reports, HIPAA Compliance and other required filings state quarterly filings.
• Supervises the preparation and submission of government-mandated reporting

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior experience with open enrollment, and compiling analytical data and reports.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and online benefit enrollment systems and knowledge of HR concepts, practices and procedures.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously, while recognizing team oriented goals
  • Ability to multi task, detail oriented, resourceful

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
• A minimum of 15 years’ experience in employee benefits, with in-depth knowledge of benefit programs, policies and regulations.
• Strategic leader capable of bringing BNPP’s CIB Benefits to the next level
