Administrative Assistant in behavioral health needed
Albuquerque, New Mexico Location
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Psychologist, provides general secretarial, accounting and receptionist services as assigned. Performs a variety of secretarial work that permits some choice of procedures and some independence of action in the disposition of routine matters.
JOB DUTIES
Type memos, reports and correspondence.
Develop and maintain filing system for all materials.
Answer telephones.
Schedule appointments for Psychologist, greet visitors, and fulfill requests for information of a non-technical nature concerning procedures, rules and routines.
Collect, sort and distribute daily mail; prepare and route various outgoing mail.
Order office supplies as needed.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Maintain current personnel files for all employees.
Submit payroll, travel expenses and other reimbursement related material for the staff.
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 60 words per minute typing.
Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook
Effective time management skills
Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employees must be able to perform the following:
Required to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally. Frequent walking throughout site; to include walking up and down flights of stairs.
Must have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job.
Occasional running when responding to emergencies; must be able to perform BLS.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to sit, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, and talk/hear.
Requires critical thinking, organizational, decisive judgment, communication, good customer service skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions as needed. Must follow departmental policies and procedures at all times
