PHP/Laravel Developer

BookTix.com is an online ticketing company serving schools, dance studios, community theaters and more! We are seeking a PHP/Laravel application developer. This is a fully remote position but requires all applicates to be a resident of the state of New Jersey.

We are looking for a developer that has previously worked on mission critical applications built within the Laravel framework. 3-5 years of Laravel development and 5+ years of PHP development required.

PHP/Laravel Developer:

• Enhance and maintain a web based application using Laravel
• Design, create and modify application code in a secure computing environment.
• Analyze user needs to implement new features or enhance existing features within our platform.
• Must demonstrate the necessary understanding and ability to write and update secure code.
• Must keep up-to-date on web developments trends.
• Must have a strong understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP
• Must have a strong understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Must provide secure, high-performance code that is responsive to user needs.

Additional Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the areas listed above.
• Familiarity with npm, and jquery.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and declarative query languages.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Experience with working remotely, or with minimal supervision.
• Experience with programming based on requirements documents.
• The ability to solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Strong attention to detail.

This is a fully remote position and applicants must have their own computer and high-speed Internet access.

Compensation based on qualifications and experience.
