Application Developer
Full Time Salaried Position
Brandt Information Services, headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida, the leading provider of SaaS technology for state wildlife and recreational agencies is seeking an Application Developer with 2+ years’ experience. Join Brandt’s innovative team to support the creation and enhancement of solutions and systems (both internal and
external) that support fishing and hunting, and other recreational outdoor activities. In this role you will be interfacing with a team of web developers, data analysts, and business users while under the direction of senior development staff.
At Brandt, we build and improve upon the customer journey for public users buying campground reservations, fishing and hunting licenses, boat registrations, educational event tickets, and the list goes on. State funds generated go back into conservation and outdoor recreation improvements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write high quality code that adheres to company coding standards.
Understand client requirements and translate requirements into application features.
Work effectively individually or within a cross functional team.
Communicate updates to the team during daily stand-ups.
Work with the architecture committee to implement new product features.
Work with QAs and BAs to help identify, troubleshoot, and correct defects.
Support continuous improvement by contributing to pull requests.
Position Requirements:
2+ years working with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, or another OOP language
2+ years working with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, or a similar framework
Strong proficiency with object-oriented languages such as C# or Java
Current working knowledge of software development life cycles(SDLC)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Entity Framework or a similar ORM
Experience writing SQL queries, stored procedures and functions
Experience with Git
Professional experience within the Fish and Wildlife industry and/or knowledge of hunting/fishing regulations.
Position Location:
This position may be full-time remote. Brandt maintains office locations in Tallahassee, Florida; Hunt Valley, Maryland and Denver, Colorado should the selected candidate live close to one of these locations and desires to work in an office-setting. The standard work hours for this position will follow Eastern Standard Time.

At Brandt, we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, and other relevant business considerations. These considerations can cause compensation to vary. Please note that the salary range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act for Colorado applicants. The salary range estimate for this position as performed in Colorado is: $70,000 – $100,000. The salary range for this position as performed outside of Colorado may vary. The actual pay will be at Brandt’s sole discretion and determined by factors including but not limited to geographic location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
