Summary of Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources with daily administration of HR programs and practices, as well as translating documents and presentations using bilingual skills. The candidate will play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and HR best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with administration of Human Resources programs, procedures, strategies, and practices ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with business initiatives including, talent acquisition and retention, employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety, leave administration, performance management, and succession planning
· Interpret and offer bilingual communication between English and Spanish-speaking applicants, employees, and managers
· Manage International Professional employee logistics including, but not limited to travel arrangements and housing accommodations
· Translate, maintain, and update written documents, presentations, and training materials in Spanish language
· Partner with managers to process incoming job applications, contact references, and schedule and complete interviews
· Carry out effective orientations to integrate new employees into the company culture
· Maintain and periodically audit electronic and paper employee records
· Serve as a consultant to management teams, supervisors and employees to resolve employee relation issues in accordance with regulations and company policy
· Assist Environmental, Health & Safety Manager and Occupational Health Nurse on safety and worker’s compensation matters
· Assist with company training, including Safety, SOPs, JSA’s, PQA-Plus, TQA, Staff Meetings
· Provide support through metrics to ensure accuracy in decision making through data completion of basic monthly reporting as required
· Adhere to all Brenneman Pork policies and procedures, including but not limited to Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, and Safety
· Conduct other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Knowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and procedures
· Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and/or regulations affecting Human Resources administration
· Attention to detail and ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and independence
· Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills in both English and Spanish
· Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced and challenging environment
· Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
· Ability to evaluate situations, identify options, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently
· Ability to influence managers and employees while establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships
· Demeanor should be positive, respectful, and professional
· Overnight travel may be required
Education and Experience:
· Bilingual-English/Spanish required
· Associates Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
· 3-5 years of successful Human Resources experience preferred
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office suite
· Prior experience with HRIS database preferred
· Agriculture background preferred
· Basic knowledge of swine production operations preferred
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
