SUMMARY
The Human Resources Generalist’s primary responsibility is to maintain the organization’s staffing by directing the companies recruitment, selection and on-line application programs. In addition, he or she will support employee relations by responding to employee issues and investigating claims of harassment, discrimination, etc., and preparing appropriate reports at the direction of the Human Resources Director.
The individual will have exceptional organizational skills and know how to prioritize work. Many tasks and responsibilities will require strict deadliness; thus the individual will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines successfully while not sacrificing the quality of the duties performed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 years Human Resources experience, with a strong proficiency in employee staffing, recruiting and employee relations; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws. Thorough knowledge of equal employment opportunity laws, ADA, and other government compliance regulations that affect job recruitment. Excellent interviewing and general communications and writing skills. This position has frequent contact with personnel within the company requiring reasonable tact, and discretion. Previous food service, grocery or retail experience is preferred
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. He/she must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to resolve personnel conflicts in such a manner so as to create a win-win situation. Ability to analyze a variety of situations, think through to a solution and implement the solution.
