Position Summary
The Head of Philanthropy at REACH CDC will lead the vision, strategy, and operations of the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. This role will oversee teams responsible for cultivating relationships with foundations, corporations, government entities, and individual donors, ensuring sustainable and impactful financial support for REACH’s mission. The Head of Philanthropy will manage a diverse portfolio of institutional and individual donors, seeking to expand REACH’s funding base and drive innovation in fundraising strategies.
A core responsibility will be transforming the organization’s approach to philanthropy, moving beyond traditional models to create equitable partnerships that challenge existing power structures in funding, with a focus on community empowerment and addressing the affordable housing crisis. This role will be integral to advancing REACH’s mission of providing affordable housing and services to those in need.
As a member of the executive leadership team, the Head of Philanthropy will collaborate closely with the CEO and leadership on assessing financial risks and opportunities within the organization’s operating budget. Additionally, this role will contribute to shaping the organizational culture, structure, and strategic direction as REACH continues to grow and make a meaningful impact on housing policy and development in Portland and beyond.
