Arc Broward has an exciting opportunity to grow its Human Resource team with a new HR Assistant position.
The HR Assistant is an ambassador of Arc Broward and the HR team, and is responsible for the HR Help Desk at Arc Broward. As a liaison who provides concierge services to all staff, this includes handling a variety of general inquiries and troubleshooting HR and HRIS related matters.
The incumbent in this role will play a lead in the agency’s Onboarding process, escorting top candidates through the hiring process – up to and including initial orientation and the start of employment. This role is also the primary backup to the agency’s Recruiter, and will participate in talent acquisition activities.
Finally, this role will be the primary records custodian on the HR team, compiling and updating employee records and uploading digital copies to employee profiles in the HRIS system (UKG Pro).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
HR HELP DESK:
Incumbent will respond to general inquiries from staff at all levels, and will be responsible for managing critical employee profile information in the UKG Pro HR Information System. This includes improving the efficiency and effectiveness of HRIS processes and systems, development of systems solutions for functional HR process requirements, assuring the agency maintains the quality, consistency, and integrity of HR data across all systems, and providing technical assistance to leadership in their efforts to make accurate, informed business decisions based on HR data and processes. This includes timely and accurate reporting of data, which requires a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
This positions serves as the owner of the Onboarding process, receiving and processing new hires from the Recruiter and hiring managers, ensuring top selected candidates (with conditional offers for hire) are scheduled for background screening, physical examination, and drug screening, and are cleared to commence employment with Arc Broward.
NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION:
Incumbent will work closely with the Arc Educates department to execute new employee orientation for all new hires, ensuring new staff are linked to both agency-wide and job-specific orientation plus initial and ongoing training. This includes serving as a liaison to new hires regarding their acclamation to the company and connecting them with resources, namely the employee handbook and access to information in the HRIS system.
The HR Assistant will be the primary records custodian on the HR team, gathering and compiling employee personnel records and uploading digital records to employee profiles in UKG Pro.
