SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Division of Pre-College and Undergraduate Programs is
responsible for developing andoffering non-credit and credit courses and programs for 6,000 high school students, as well as Brown
University undergraduate and Visiting Students from other institutions. Students participate in programs on Brown University’s
Providence campus, as well as online and in other locations. Within the Division there are teams of staff who are responsible for
marketing,admissions, enrollment, academic content and instructional delivery, student life, finance,human resources, payroll, and the
various policies and protocols associated with this work. Staff work closely with colleagues from across the University to ensure success,
including the Registrar’s Office, Office of Information Technology, and Facilities.
The Manager of Billing &
Scholarships will oversee and manage all aspects of student billing,receivables and financial aid for the Division of Pre-College &
Undergraduate Programs. This position will be responsible for managing the Sibley and Brown Employee Dependent Scholarship programs and
assisting with the management of the PPSD and Partner scholarship programs, including oversight of scholarship budget, application
processing, and disbursement of awards utilizing Salesforce, Banner, and Google Applications. The Manager will be responsible for the
oversight of refund processing and student account third party billing, will review/approve Workday Customer Account invoices, and will
oversee the application fee waiver process for the Pre-College student population. The Manager will be responsible for the tracking and
billing of housing and meal plans via the StarRez and Atrium systems for the for-credit student population enrolled in Summer Session,
Winter Session, and thePre-Baccalaureate program. The Manager will work collaboratively with the Bursar’s Office,Cashier’s
Office, Office of Information Technology and other University partners to ensure the Pre-College population is well served and supported.
The Manager will work with Division leadership and the Office of Budget, Planning, and Analysis to support end of year allocations of
revenue and expenses and fee setting for Pre- College programs and will be responsible for updating fee assessment and billing setup for all
student systems including Banner and Salesforce. The Manager represents the Finance team on the communications committee and serves on other
committees as needed.
