Position purpose:
To provide courteous and efficient administrative duties to support the Human Resources team and assist with payroll processing.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
Responsible to provide efficient and courteous on-boarding activities for new hires. Communicate any concerns with newly hired employees with the hiring supervisor and the HR team. Review applications received for accuracy and completion. Forward approved applications for employment to hiring supervisors and maintain the applicant tracking spreadsheet. Be knowledgeable of all personnel policies and procedures. Be familiar with human resource best practices related to the job duties and responsibilities. Conduct employment screenings of newly hired managers and supervisors. Verify employment eligibility for all new hires within three days of hire and maintains accurate records. Schedule meetings or interviews for the Director when needed. Be knowledgeable of the current payroll provider’s operating system. Answer the human resources telephone and assist applicants with questions regarding job openings. Respond to requests for employment verifications. Teach new employee orientation training. Maintain adequate supply of uniforms and place orders as needed. Maintain an accurate database of information on current employees including, but not limited to: certifications, training dates, performance, changes, etc. Assist with unemployment appeals. Perform payroll duties. Assist the Compliance Officer when needed. Obtain and maintain gaming license. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous clerical experience required. Must be at least 18.
Special Position Requirements:
Requires computer skills. Requires Gaming License
