Bushtex, Inc Hiring for Sr Computer Network Support Specialist Job at Riverside, CA Full Time

The Sr Computer Network Support Specialist will provide operational and maintenance support for AMOC in Riverside, CA location working directly with customers to maintain computer, radio and satellite telecommunications systems.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain computer networks including UNIX, Linux, and Windows
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and maintain radar and radio data links, Nortel PBX, UHF Radios, and their remote-control systems
• Maintain and operate SATCOM systems (KU-band) Training is offered if needed
• Maintain communications systems controlling UHF, VHF, HF, and satellite radios
• Coordinate efforts with other agencies, telephone companies, and contractors at work sites
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly

Minimum Security Clearance Needed

• Full DHS (Department of Homeland Security) BI suitability and DoD Secret or TS clearance (Bushtex can facilitate getting the DHS BI should it be needed and candidate qualifies)

Requirements for the position are:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in computer systems support, data processing and voice/data systems
• Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems Management, or equivalent Military training
• Knowledge on running and termination of phone and data cables (copper, Cat 6, fiber optics)
• Self-reliant for interface with customer and prioritization of daily work
• Self-motivated
• Excellent verbal and writing skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Solution-oriented with the ability to resolve system problems and manage customer expectations
• Valid US State Driver’s license
• Valid US Passport

Preferences

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related industry
• CBP Suitable
