Cactus is looking for a designer who has the talent, skills, passion and personality to concept and craft powerful design solutions for our clients and our in-house initiatives. You will work both collaboratively and individually to create award-winning, web sites, apps, branding, innovative tech, identities, collateral, posters, social content, digital content, environmental, and experiential tactics.
Salary Range: $70k-$90k
This is a Denver-based job with hybrid at home / in-office working
Qualifications
4-12 years of agency / design firm experience
Infectious passion and optimism for doing award-winning design
Highly skilled in critical thinking and creative problem solving
Intuitive and proactive
Portfolio of exceptional digital and 2D visual design work backed by thoughtful and strategic approaches
Highly proficient of typography, layout, color theory and design theory
Highly proficient in all Adobe tools
Experience with CSS/HTML, WordPress, and Figma a must
Experience in animating and/or prototyping
Strong presentations skills to internal and client teams
Strong vendor / artist partner management skills and experience
Job Roles
Develop fearless, un-ignorable creative concepts and designs.
Prepare work for internal presentations, presentations to clients, and presentations to vendors for production.
Build keynote decks and other materials needed for presentations.
Present to clients and sell work.
Lead and guide the design, layout and visual aspects of assigned projects.
Work closely and cross-departmentally with all other Cacti through all the phases of the process of a project.
Work with Design Director, creative team and producers to manage all vendors, freelancers and artists.
Apply strategic insights in ways that solve assignments with creative ingenuity.
Simultaneously accomplish a range of complex assignments with overlapping timelines, never sacrificing quality or commitment to excellence.
Develop creative solutions and design systems that can be effectively applied to a wide range of tactics, including design for digital interfaces (web, app, etc.), UI and UX visual design, iconography, identity design and branding, brand systems and brand architecture, environmental applications, signage, experiential tactics, packaging, collateral systems, print technology, illustration and video / photo creation / manipulation and vendor management of artist talent when needed.
Support the agency’s mission and vision of creating meaningful work and huge impact through Belief & Behavior Design.
Daily entry of accurate timesheets in the agency’s management software.
