Responsible for the Daily efficient and effective operations of the EVS/facilities department to provide a positive guest experience. Will be responsible for the supervision of the daily shift operations in the department. EVS /Facilities Shift Manager provides excellent customer service to employees and vendors in all situations. Performs a variety of tasks including, recruiting, on boarding, team member evaluations, disciplinary actions, training, reviewing and updating departmental standard operating procedures, etc. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards, and Indiana Gaming Regulations. Responsible for providing support to the facilities/EVS department and Casino Non Gaming Operations. Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, respect, and service in all dealings with employees, vendors, and customers. Recognizes and honors the need for absolute confidentiality and discretion in matters handled through the office. Administrative responsibilities include processing departmental payroll, employee documentation pertaining to HR, supply /purchasing order entry, follow up, and tracking of purchase orders, data processing, filing, copying, organizing, typing, faxing, scanning, answering phones, making calls, and other duties as required.
QUALFICATIONS
Technical degree or certification in related field and five (5) years of building maintenance management experience is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age or older with the ability to obtain an Indiana Gaming License. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays. Should have knowledge of troubleshooting all maintenance issues that should arise and be able to effectively direct shift staff accordingly. Proficient knowledge of mechanical and software programs. Hospitality related facility experience preferred. Previous experience in purchasing ordering, payroll, human resources a plus. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.) with data processing capabilities.
QUALFICATIONS
Experience in cleaning, janitorial or housekeeping preferred. Candidate must have Floor Care Certification or equivalent Floor Care Technician experience. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to obtain an Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) and an Indiana Horse Racing Commission (IHRC) License. Must also be available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays.
