Our client, a vertically integrated multi-state cannabis operator, is seeking a Distribution Manager in the state of New Jersey. The Distribution Manager is responsible for building, implementing, and leading all company-wide distribution strategies and execution. This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role with a successful publicly trade cannabis company. This position will work in the cultivation and processing facility to our retail locations and wholesale customers to help achieve our monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• SOP based delivery routing utilizing proper staffing and coordination of company vehicles for deliveries of medical and adult use marijuana products to dispensaries and wholesale customers, according to CRC regs to achieve our operational goals
• Ensures the safe and timely delivery of products and materials to and from various places of operation (including ensuring potential product returns are documented, received, and tracked appropriately). Effectively collaborates with the Director of Production and Regional Director of Wholesale Sales on operational requirements
• Communicates with CRC regarding the compliant transport of medical and adult use marijuana products for dispensary and wholesale orders
• Collaborates with Security and ensures that all products that are sold are loaded within the company vehicle, are accurate and packages are correctly labeled with the correct information
• Ensures the safe operation of transport vehicles by creating and executing cleaning and maintenance schedules
• Completes initial verification of Sales Order(s) to ensure that the order is aligned with delivery schedule, and hands-off Sales Orders to the Order Fulfilment team.
• Utilizes KPIs to achieve high quality customer service, identify operational opportunities, trends and potential cost saving improvements for safety, quality and deliveries.
• Efficiently coordinates transfer of 3rd party inventory to the facility from wholesale customers
• Manages the physical receiving, shipping and storing of supplies and materials company wide
• Develops and communicates a workflow schedule, which is consistently and accurately executed by the Logistics and Transport team
• Leads, develops and coaches a high performing Logistics and Transport team, who embraces collaboration, a continuous improvement mindset and best practices
• Maintains strict confidentiality when addressing all personnel issues and collaborates with Human Resources in a timely manner

Education and Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience effectively leading distribution, warehousing and warehouse management systems (preferably in cannabis, healthcare, etc)
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Hands on knowledge of BioTrack or other seed-to-sale systems preferred
• Values driven leadership style to guide and develop a team aligned with the company’s growth expectations
• Progressive track record of supply chain leadership roles
• Effective leader with a track record for collaborative partnerships at all levels and departments
• Customer-focused, strong communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management skills; ability to effectively plan, prioritize and consistently deliver on time
• Willingness to accept challenges and/or additional projects
• Skill in managing physical resources (inventories, equipment, materials)
• Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, absolute reliability and honesty
• Proficient knowledge of computers, office equipment and programs (inventory systems, Word, Excel office equipment such as copiers/telephones) required.

Compensation: $85,000 – $95,000
