Cape Fear Center For Inquiry (CFCI) is public charter school located in Wilmington, NC. We are seeking an innovative and inspirational teacher who loves instructing middle school students and enjoys collaborating with colleagues to provide an exceptional learning experience.

We are hiring for a full-time 8th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher for the current 2021-22 school year. The right applicant will have the following experience/requirements:

• Current NC Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies teacher license or be eligible to receive one.
• Experience with inquiry based instruction as well as the incorporation of social curriculum into daily instruction.

The teacher will be expected to:

• Instruct 8th grade language arts and/or social studies and follow NC ELA and Social Studies state standards.
• Assume all normal responsibilities, such as: unit planning, parent communication, assessments, reporting, advisories, collaborating, student evaluations, morning and dismissal duty, meetings, curriculum nights, open houses, student led conferences, committees, and other activities.

This position participates in the Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS) as well as the NC State Health Plan.

We offer a competitive salary is based on the NC Teacher Salary Schedule plus 8% supplement, years experience and certification including Masters pay.

School Year: August 5, 2021 through June 15, 2022

Pay: $3,850.00 – $6,344.00 per month
