Role & Responsibilities

Primary focus of developing/producing investment banking-like materials for clients/prospects

• Thematic/sector-focused pitches, white papers and mailings
• Client-specific pitches: M&A ideas, valuation, financial analysis, capital structure modeling; general updates o Junior banker will often be the lead on these projects, liaising with senior banker, IRG, Risk, Syndications, DCM, ECM and M&A teams, among others
• Maintaining databases of transaction, trading and leverage comparables as well as KPI’s
• Tracking public companies including monitoring related earnings reports, research, etc.
• Attending client meetings and calls with senior banker, as appropriate

Key secondary focus will be supporting internal team efforts

• Working on transactions including writing deal screens and performing required analyses
• Attending conferences to facilitate knowledge sharing with senior bankers and others
• Assistance with pricing scenarios, company/deal/activity tracking, industry calendar, etc.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 2 years of experience from investment banking, equity research or equivalent role
  • Sector-specific healthcare experience a plus
  • Leveraged finance experience a plus
  • Strong familiarity/comfort with investment banking and commercial finance products
• Mastery of full Microsoft Office product suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong financial analysis skills: P&L/SOCF/BS modeling, LBO, accretion/dilution, valuation, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills a key requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience from investment banking, equity research or equivalent role
• Sector-specific healthcare experience a plus
• Leveraged finance experience a plus
• Strong familiarity/comfort with investment banking and commercial finance products
