The Position
The Veterinary Recruiter position will be a trusted ambassador representing the CareVet team including our doctors and hospital staff, located throughout the country. The candidate will lead the search for Veterinarian doctors throughout the United States to join our hospitals.
This position is responsible for building a pipeline of top veterinarian talent to join our network of hospitals.
Specific Responsibilities
Working closely with our Talent Team to lead the search for talent throughout the country for our network of hospitals
Collaborates with the team to establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with doctors to discuss needs
Proactively develops search plans for potential talent needs including short- and long-term talent gaps in the practices
Sources candidates through databases, social media, and other platforms
Builds and promotes a reputation for the company as a top place to work
Conducts interviews and makes recommendations to the team on applicants
Builds an on-going pipelines of potential talent sources throughout the country
Establishes relationships with hospital to understand skills and competencies needed within the practices on an on-going basis
Willingness to travel as needed
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in recruiting talent, particularly in the health field or doctor talent field desirable
Skilled in social platforms, recruiting software and other recruitment management tools
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
High integrity, excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to complete a task or project, especially when important deadlines are present
Demonstrated exceptional decision-making skills in assessing talent needs and building talent pipelines in health or related talent fields
Creative and innovative in recruitment approaches, understands how to build a brand/reputation for a company
Self-driven and takes initiative and is proactive in talent sourcing
Very organized and detail oriented. Understands the need for timely follow-up
Positive, energetic, ability to multi-task preferred
A team player and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Willing to travel for on-site interviews, relationship building and other opportunities
