Company Introduction
CarLabs develops AI-powered virtual assistants for car dealers and manufacturers. We are based in L.A., but these days our workforce is distributed across the US and beyond.
Our latest product needs to interface with many of the CRMs and DMSs used by car dealerships, including CDK, VinSolutions, Elead, Dealersocket, etc. We have written some of those interfaces, but need to scale faster and are thus looking for a developer with prior experience with pulling data from these APIs and transforming it to a standard JSON record format that includes user and vehicle information.
Our existing interfaces are written in JavaScript/TypeScript and write JSON records to a MongoDB. We have a few different endpoints primarily for pulling data about customers, vehicles, ROs and leads, as well as writing back information such as appointments, conversation history, etc.
You will be working with an experienced and enthusiastic team of developers and, like it or not, will be exposed to other components of our stack like ML/NLP, node.js, C#, Go, Angular, React, GraphQL, a gazillion AWS services and state-of-the-art testing and CI/CD tools. So if you’re not interested in learning new tech, this job isn’t for you.
About You
We expect all the usual attributes from you… dedication, competence, diligence, team work… but far and foremost experience with automotive CRMs and DMSs. If you can knock those out quickly and reliably, you’re our gal/guy! And, no, you will not run out of APIs to write. There are many dozens of dealer systems we need to interface with. If anything you may end up leading a whole team sooner or later.
We are looking for developers who strive to find the right balance of code quality and getting the work done. You need to be self-sufficient, strong at communicating your thoughts, and willing to express your ideas for the betterment of the company.
- Experience with Node.js and GraphQL
- Experience with automotive CRM API implementation
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Able to build, test and debug API’s.
- Document API Endpoints, flows and functionality.
