Busy private medical office is seeking experienced Certified Medical Assistants/Scribe, with the ability to work in a clinical team environment. We have full-time positions available. We are going to add an additional medical assistant/scribe for each provider. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task, make independent decisions, and have excellent communications skills. Experience using EHR/EMR software is a must and telephone triage experience necessary. Applicant must be extremely dependable, articulate and work well with others.

The Medical Scribe ensures accurate and timely documentation of the medical chart under the supervision of the medical provider. The Scribe assists the provider by accompanying them during the patient exam recording detailed information into the electronic medical record (EMR).

The Scribe performs other related medical record or clerical duties to increase provider effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity for improved patient flow and satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

• Escorting patient to the exam room and perform vital signs.
• Updating patient history, physical exam and other pertinent health information in the patient record
• Performing other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned

• Responding to patient telephone inquires
• obtaining labs as ordered

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Ability to observe and transcribe a narrative account of events with use of accurate grammar
• Keyboard proficiency (approximately 60 words/minute).
• Ability to operate a personal computer
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to communicate and interact professionally with patients and staff
• Understanding of and commitment to appropriate protection of confidential patient information.
