Full Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Greeting patients with excellent customer service, while being professional and mindful of the patients’ needs
- Responsible for following all check-in protocols for scheduled patients in a multi-physician practice
- Assisting patients with completing all necessary new patient and established patient documentation
- Ensure patient information is accurate in our practice management system, including but not limited to patient demographics, HIPAA consents and billing information
- Assisting patients and visitors with COVID19 protocols, prior to being seen
- Responsible for following all check-out protocols for patients after they have completed their visit, for a multi-physician practice
- Must be able to review the patients’ encounter to ensure correct co-pays, deductible, co-insurance and balances are collected and accurately post payments
- Responsible for explaining fees and patient financial responsibility to the patients
- Reconcile individual daily receipts and money collected with end of day reports to confirm money balances
- Ensure reception area and patient lobby is well maintained, neat and clean
- Responsible for various administrative tasks given on a daily and weekly basis
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-3 years experience of check-in/checkout receptionist, preferred
- Working knowledge of up-to-date health insurance companies
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
- Experience in Practice Management systems and EHR systems, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 – $22.00 per hour
