Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The role of this position is to assist in the day-to-day functions of the Human Resources Department. She/He works closely with the Human Resources Generalist to help facilitate day-to-day HR functions.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides clerical support to the Human Resources Department
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
Keeps all employee information current, including contact information, etc.
Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
Assists with administrating all appropriate onboarding and termination processes within HRIS and across all current systems
Assists with creating and coordinating monthly employee engagement events
Conducts or assists new employee onboarding and orientation
Assists with other large company events throughout the year
Assists with project-based functions of the Human Resources Department
Maintains open communication with employees to assist in any internal matters
Maintains knowledge of trends and best practices in human resources
Looks for ways to constantly improve by recommending new approaches and practices to improve efficiency of Human Resources Department
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Periodic travel required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.S. in Human Resources or related field preferred, or 1-3 years of experience in Human
HR Certification, or willingness to obtain
Willingness to keep up to date with HR laws and compliances
