Casella Construction is seeking experienced Heavy Construction Skilled Laborers. In this position you will be doing various types of work including: earth work, pipe laying, parking lot grading, concrete demolition, and cleanup. We are seeking individuals who are self-starters, have a positive attitude, value a safe productive workplace, take pride in a job well done and are team oriented. Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to guide other laborers and employees.
• Execute tasks as directed by supervisor.
• Task trained and able to operate support equipment (skid steer, mini roller, haul truck).
• Complete simple grades.
• Properly complete daily paperwork.
• Work as a team and communicate effectively.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

• 1+ years experience as a skilled laborer preferred
• Experience with grading, piping, earth work and demolition
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed to count and take inventory.

• Good communication skills
• Ability to remain flexible as assignments change.
• Desire to learn, improve, and succeed.
• Ability to implement safe work practices and stay alert to changing work conditions.
• Ability and desire to work outdoors in all weather in a physically demanding position, including lifting 50+ pounds, and work on your feet all day.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Willingness to travel
• Must have reliable transportation to jobsite.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Education:

Ability to participate in regulatory trainings (Confined Space, Haz Whopper, MSHA)
