Description
Incumbents typically have previous human resources experience and have progressed through various human resources positions.
Job Duties
Implement site HR strategies with a focus on safety, development of talent pipeline, and employee engagement and professional growth programs.
Conduct Workday tasks in support of recruiting actions, talent management, employee engagement, and other activities.
Create and implement facility communication plans; develop and deliver communications that connect corporate, division, and facility strategies to employees’ day-to-day activities.
Manage facility’s Facebook page.
Manage apprentice and pre-apprentice programs in partnership with members of the public school and community college systems.
Represent the facility in the Johnston County Apprenticeship consortium.
Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit-related issues.
Conduct investigations; identify coaching needs and recommend disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Conduct Prohibited Harassment and other HR trainings as appropriate.
Conduct employee orientations as needed and support employee onboarding process.
Assist with recruiting needs/planning as needed.
Track and report on metrics and measurements for human resources functions and provide data to management.
Carefully evaluate problems and possible solutions to select the most effective option.
Various other human resources related duties.
Interface with Corporate Human Resources, Compensation + Benefit and Payroll personnel to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems in some or all of the following areas:
Performance Management Process.
Communication of human resources related material.
Employee Insights Survey analysis and communication.
Annual enrollment, employee benefits, and leaves of absence.
Performance of duties associated with Governmental regulations and internal investigations.
Administration of time and attendance and Workday related activities as needed.
Reinforce leadership attributes and company values.
Develop and recommend solutions to problems of limited scope and complexity and may develop and recommend solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. The incumbent is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review a number of possible solutions before selecting one option. Can change different parts of the standard approach to serve customers best, but cannot add or delete procedures without approval. Work under general direction. Determine and develop approaches to solutions. Work is typically reviewed after completion.
Basic Qualifications
2-year college or university degree is required.
3+ years of human resources job-related experience is required.
Very good human relations and effective communications skills are required to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside of department.
The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
Top Candidates will also have
Workday (HCM) Software experience is strongly preferred.
Strong written communication skills and ability to provide strategic communication consultation.
The position typically requires good knowledge of various areas of human resource including benefits, employment, pay-related practices/process, compensation and company policies and procedures.
Positive attitude and enthusiasm to support positive employee relations.
The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
