CBRE is looking for technically strong, energetic, highly collaborative, and passionate Engineering Leader to build and scale our teams and technologies of our global products in Valuations & Advisory Services. You will manage and direct teams of exceptional engineers and own delivery of customer-centric innovative products with high quality. We work in a collaborative environment, and we value transparent communication and feedback, code reviews, and making learning fun. This position will directly oversee multiple teams of technology professionals and projects focusing on information systems activities, including design, architecture, development, test, implementation and monitoring of applications. Responsible for building diverse teams with high engagement.
We are reimagining & transforming our existing global valuations products from an on premise, monolithic, closed architecture system to a modern, open, micro-services, cloud-based system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drives the execution and delivery of products by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners, UX designers and engineers

Contributes to shaping strategic product plans and can lead the team to come up with tactical execution plan of product strategies

Develop and execute multiple, simultaneous project plans with competing priorities.

Solid first-hand experience building, delivering, operating, and supporting complex software at scale with 99.9+% SLAs.

Expertise with operating highly available systems and incident management

Experience with on-premise and cloud infrastructures, including hybrid environments and migrations across environments.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines with potentially ambiguous or nebulous requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to quickly assess multifaceted problems and complex situations and recognize patterns to identify and resolve the root cause.

Manages, coaches, and trains a team of Digital & Technology staff and oversees multiple projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.QUALIFICATIONS

Masters / Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
*
3+ years of proven ability leading software engineering teams with a distinguished track record on technically fast paced projects
*
6+ years of Software Development experience
*
Experience leading large scale distributed systems, working with microservices and/or distributed architecture
*
Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
*
Ability to be flexible, proactive, comfortable working with minimal specifications
*
Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle, and experience working on a product that’s been released for public consumption
*
Experience in hiring, mentoring and managing engineers
*
Working experience of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, CICD, testing, monitoring, and operations
*
Expert technical knowledge of Java, Javascript, Node.js, Angular, Spring framework, Database technologies (SQL & NoSQL), Cloud technologies (AWS Services), Distributed systems, Azure DevOps and services
*
Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and product management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
*
Communication Skills – Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
