The Role:
As a modern Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Director, you will translate insight into action to drive successful business outcomes for Centene, and in particular Meridian Health Plan (a wholly owned subsidiary in Illinois). With over 1,300 employees at Meridian Health Plan, you will play a leadership role in designing, aligning, and executing the organization and talent strategy with business needs. In this position you will take an active role in building and executing our people and talent strategy in partnership with the broader Centene HRBP community and local leadership teams with a focus on optimal organizational and employee performance.

First and foremost, you excel at formulating valued partnerships in a matrixed organization, are comfortable working with and translating data into insight, can develop talent within and outside your team (this position will have 2 direct reports), possess fundamental consulting skills when evaluating issues/risks and keen to lead with an effective level of business literacy. You are an extremely agile self-starter, possess strong leadership and executive communication skills, and excel in fast-paced environments with a forward-thinking mindset in all that you do. You thrive on being the go-to’ person for enabling the critical intersection of talent and business objectives. Meridian Health Plan is a complex team that supports multiple product lines. The Director, HRBP is a key member of leadership team and instrumental in driving culture change and engagement. You live in the Chicago area where the plan is headquartered.
Position Purpose: Accountable for aligning people strategy with business strategy. Drives the talent agenda, partnering closely with Centers of Expertise (COEs), HR Operations and business unit leaders to effectively and efficiently deliver a full spectrum of strategic and tactical programs to support business and people objectives. (Aligned with leader(s) of a medium size market or complex client group)
Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. 7+ years of experience of human resources, project management, data analysis, operations, continuous improvement or related business experience.

Demonstrated high degree of critical thinking and decision-making abilities
