HOURS: 8 Hours Per Day (7:00am – 3:30pm)
CALENDAR: 260 Days Per Year (July through June)
SALARY: $29.64 – $35.02 Per Hour (Trades III)

The Oregon Governor and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) have issued a state mandate due

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT(S): The position of Network Administrator provides network support to all staff/students, maintains all network hardware and software systems, and manages all security camera systems, VOIP systems, and security entry systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and WLANs, including routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
Design and deploy enterprise-class wireless networks, including access points, routers, hubs, switches, and other hardware.
Configure all networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling organizational objectives and processes. Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
Install and configure computer network equipment.
Maintain network connectivity of all computer workstations.
Provide network support to users.
Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup for all network configurations.
Evaluate and recommend security improvements and network upgrades.
Monitor network to ensure optimal performance.
Create and maintain network systems users/permissions.
Create technical support documentation for network systems and applications.
Ensure network systems software patches and updates are maintained.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Design, manage, and support VoIP infrastructure and its associated software, including IP-
PBXs, call management systems, voicemail, and interactive voice response.
Select, deploy, and utilize appropriate tools for reporting and routing IP telephony traffic on the network.
Install, manage, and maintain security cameras.
Maintain security entry systems/software and assist end-users with technical support.
Receive, prioritize, and respond to incoming work orders, calls, and/or emails regarding equipment and/or connectivity problems.
Manage planning and maintenance of network cabling, including MDF and IDF closets.
Perform network security audits.
May be required to provide occasional after-hours support (weekends and evenings) as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS – QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Required: At least three (3) years of experience in a network administration role.
Experience Preferred: Windows Server 2016.
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
* Proven experience and success with enterprise-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN engineering, design, and implementation.
* Proven ability to engineer routers, hubs, switches, and access points.
* Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
* Excellent technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and
Internet standards.
* Strong knowledge of network management and analysis tools.
* Working technical knowledge of PBX, voice mail, interactive voice services, call management systems, and telecommunication accounting systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, data processing concepts, and telecommunications principles.
* Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
* Knowledge, understanding and ability to create and maintain thorough technical documentation.
Ability to speak a second language preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. Aruba network certification preferred.
LICENSES, BONDING AND/OR TESTING REQUIRED: Valid driver’s license and evidence of insurability, criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel. Reports to the Instructional
Technology Director.
