Completes job requirements with independent action and resourcefulness and seeks out additional duties during periods of downtime. Organizes time, effort, and use of resources to achieve desired outcomes. Assist HR team with benefits enrollment. Provide/assist with related paperwork including COBRA, insurance/benefits, leave paperwork and tracking. Assist with managing and maintaining agency job descriptions, job ratings and wage scales. Conduct related surveys and analyses; respond to survey information requests and provide related reports. Assist, facilitate, and provide communications regarding human resources issues. Initiate employment letters/documentation as assigned. Provide consultation, information, training and education to staff regarding human resources issues, policies and guidelines. Monitor and distribute HR questions and faxes as assigned. Promote standardization, provide training and consultation, and assure timely submission of performance appraisals. Revise appraisals/evaluation tools as needed. Provide Corporation response to unemployment or workers compensation claims and other claims and/or charges as assigned. Assist/provide/recommend safety, welfare and health systems as needed. Maintain human resources records and systems in compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, laws, and standards. Conduct exit interviews; prepare and present turnover tracking reports as needed. Meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) expectations. Treats all clients and colleagues with dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or other legally protected status. Shows consideration for others, works cooperatively with any coworker; provides constructive feedback without undue criticism of others; displays appreciation of differences in approaches, personalities, and viewpoints of others. Attend trainings and meetings designed to enhance skills and performance in current position. File, fax, shred, copy as needed. May be required to take meeting minutes as assigned. Perform data entry, type/word process, provide reports to assist in HR/Administration information flow. Complete other assignments not inconsistent with regular duties as assigned.
Supervision : This position reports to the Human Resources Director and works closely with the other members of HR team, Administrative and Financial staff, as well as other agency management and direct service staff. Some job assignments and instructions may be given and work reviewed as completed, however, this position allows for the ability to design and create Human Resources’ support systems to enhance the flow of HR and administrative services. Guidelines: Must follow Corporation policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. Must follow and promote rules and regulations concerning confidentiality. Employee uses own judgement and information provided by HR & administrative staff to handle problems which are not covered by existing policies or practices.
Complexity : Job includes some routine tasks; however, requires creativity in designing solutions to general and complex assignments on an ongoing basis. Scope and Effect : This position affects all Corporation employees, especially the Human Resources Director and HR team members, Chief Officers, other administrative and management staff, as well as program staff. This position requires regular contact with agency staff and outside providers/consultations, affects prospective employees, and the overall external image of the Corporation, and is designed to assist in promoting and supporting a functional work force. Infrequent contact with Board members may occur. Participates in creating and designing administrative policies and procedures. Has access to much confidential and business critical information.
Personal Contacts : Regular contact with employees throughout the Corporation, and infrequent contact with Board members. Frequent contact with external oversight groups (auditors) and providers (background check, screening agencies, temp agencies).
Purpose : Contact is made to provide for gathering, processing, and dissemination of information. This position also assures agency compliance including with background check and new hire documentation. External contact with resources is made to exchange/impart information, provide direction, and promote the Corporation.
Physical Requirements : Work is primarily sedentary in nature.

MINIMUM CREDENTIALS/REQUIREMENTS : Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resource related field and related HR work experience; equivalent education and work experience considered. Professional Human Resources certification and minimum one year work experience strongly preferred. Requires ability to successfully utilize Microsoft Office Products, as well as other electronic systems. Requires keyboarding, familiarity with office equipment and systems, and demonstrated skill in word processing and other relevant software applications. Must successfully completed all required background checks.
