Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time HR Generalist for our central business office in Westerville, OH.
This position provides operational and administrative support within HR and assists HR team with various employee and leader requests related to talent acquisition, employee relations, HR initiatives to support business strategies, new employee orientation, training and HR policies and procedures. Provides technical oversight and knowledge of the HRIS/Payroll systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs HR related duties in some or all of the following functional areas: employment & recruitment, employee relations, employee benefits administration, new employee orientation & training, employee communications, and the administration and operations within the HR Department.
Provides system and technical knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems. Assists HR department team members with system functionality and usage optimization.
Builds and maintains relationship with HRIS/Payroll vendor(s).
Addresses employee relations matters, assists with investigations, where appropriate, and provides appropriate recommendations as needed. Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the HR field, including thorough, up-to-date knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
Administers LOA, FMLA, ADA and WC as well as third party charges and claims.
Supports HR team with various employee and leadership related requests.
Creates and updates departmental ad hoc and routine reports as necessary.
Conducts exit interviews for associates leaving the organization and disseminates information appropriately.
Conducts stay interviews as needed.
May travel to sites for various HR related functions to include onboarding, employee relations, meetings, etc.
Builds strong working relationships, demonstrates a high-level of integrity, and establishes a proactive approach to customer service.
Manages projects to successful completion.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certification/License
Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. HR Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
Knowledge & Experience
2-3 years working in a Human Resources Department in a Generalist capacity, with experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
Knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
